I have been using this primer for about five months now as a replacement for Benefits Porefessional, which I had been using fairly consistently before the Smashbox primer came out. I do much prefer the way this blurs my pores, and the finish it gives. I find the Porefessional didn’t last nearly as long, but was slightly cheaper to purchase.
The Smashbox Pore Minimizing Primer was a purchase I made in the beginning of September and I am just getting to the end of it now. That is 5 months of use, and I would guestimate 5 days a week. At $50/fl. oz. I don’t really feel that bad about the purchase. I look at it as a $10 a month investment in not having my larger than life cheek pores jump off my face and into your breakfast cereal. All up in your business those pores get.
I would however not recommend this for people with dry skin, I have combination skin, with dry patches on my nose and on my temples (I know weird right?), and if my skin is not completelymoisturized I find that this will ball up on itself in my dry areas. My only real negative aspect of this product is that in the last month I have noticed it is no longer creamy. It started out feeling like liquid skin silkamazingness and has now turned into a dry semi chunky looking play-doh.
It still works the same it just feels a bit dried out. I am starting to wonder if I have a small crack or pin hole in the packaging for it and the air is seeping in! I will definitely have this guy done by the end of the Project Pan for January.
