I get asked how I make certain eyeshadow looks work, and what brushes I use. I thought I would make a list, and a quick review of what I use it for and why I like it.
Sigma E40 Large Blending Brush
This is a fluffy blending brush, and I use it every single day. I picked up most of my Sigma brushes from FTB Beauty. They had super quick shipping and the owner is very personable. I learned how to properly blend with this guy. Get some product on your brush, and do a windshield wiper motion in the crease of your eye. Blown out blendy badassery!
Sigma E64 Small Angle Brush
This is my absolute ride or die, forsake for no other eyeliner brush. I am a gel liner kind of girl to the end and I swear by this for the smoothest most precise application. The bristles are stiff enough to draw a perfect line and won’t skip across your lid. It ensures your gel liner is on “fleek”.
Mac 217
I use this almost daily as well. I use this for blending darker colours into the outer V. I guess it would be refered to as more concentrated blending. It is also great for putting more concentrated dark colours blending into the crease right under the orbital bone. Sigma makes a dupe of this however I haven’t tried it.
Mac 212 Flat Definer Brush
I don’t use this everyday but if I ever lost it I would definitely replace it right away. I use this to smudge shadow into the lower lash line, as well as set my waterline with black shadow when I wear liner that isn’t as waterproof as I would like.
For actual shadow brushes that just pack on colour, I don’t really have a favourite, there is rarely anything special about regular shadow brushes for me. So just grab whatever works for you!
Happy Monday Everyone!
Let me know if there are any brushes I should involve in my life!
