I have received a few things here and there from Influenster.ca lately, and they are honestly probably one of my favourite sites to work with for review.
Most recently, I was sent the Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara. This item is complimentary and we are not compensated for review in anyway.
Mascara is trying for me – my lashes stick straight out like they are constantly in a competition in pointedness with my nose. It’s a strange competition and no one ever really wins. What are they pointing at? I will never know. I was interested to see where my review would go with this.
The Claims: “Our unique fibers are sealed in 360° tubes that plump and extend lashes for mega volume and extreme length”
The Packaging: I like how this package looks, it’s sleek yet basic. However I don’t like how the packaging functions. I found it a bit difficult to maneuver the brush on my lashes, as the cap you hold, is flat and oval in shape. It was challenging to roll the brush across my lashes knowing that it was flat as a pancake. I appreciate the sentiment of trying to be different, but don’t mess with a good thing.
The Brush: Very much standard. The bristles aren’t plastic which is a nice change, and typically the type that works better for me. The tornado shape of the bristles make it easy to get the small lashes on the inner corner of the eye, without much required dexterity.
Does it stack up to the claims? In all honesty, no it did not live up to the hype. It definitly gave some length, and noticeably so as you can see from the comparison photo below, however volume was next to nothing. I found it difficult to remove, which is a positive and a negative. There was no fall out, but it did not come off with standard makeup remover and I ended up having to sleep in it, and let it wear off throughout the night. Oh… I know. Don’t need to tell me.
Thank you so much to Revlon and Influenster for sending me this product to test out, and I look forward to more beauty items!
