Don’t act like this hasn’t happened to you…

I took a week off of work last week to visit with my Mom when she was home from Florida, in doing so I had made the assumption I would be ahead of the game on pumping out content, and even having things pre-prepped for this week when I knew I would be busy.

Well my lack of posts last week would prove to the world that was not the case.

I did however feel very productive on Sunday, and was able to (after a massive panic of not being able to clear my memory card) film a few videos.

On Sunday morning I like to sift through my makeup collection and pull items for the upcoming week, and it made me realize how many items I have bought because of the packaging. It’s actually almost embarrassing. I don’t normally buy for kitschy packaging, but it happens that’s for sure.

What have you bought that has left you with a pretty package and a sub-par product?

  1. I can be a sucker for cute packaging, but there’s only a couple things I’ve purchased SOLELY for the packaging – the Tony Moly Panda’s Dream eye brightener & Urban Decay/Nagel lip palette in Rio. I don’t really even use these products. I bought them to sit on my vanity and look cute/cool.

  2. Ugh, I’m a sucker for cute packaging too. Too Faced and Tarte in particular get me with their packaging all the time 😦 At least you genuinely enjoy a lot of these products that you have featured in your video and they weren’t a waste!

      1. LOL Christmas Too Faced is the worst for that! I just recently gave my Grand Chateau palette (along with the “chateau” that houses the palettes) to a friend because I wasn’t even using the shadows anymore…that carousel was soooo adorable and it took so much restraint not to buy it!

  3. Limited Edition sucker here! 🙋‍♀️
You’ve seen my makeup purge, you know how it goes.
I’ve always wanted to be selected for those Elle beauty award test panels where they send people the products all wrapped up to disguise the brands. I truly wonder if that helps to eliminate the “noise” of brand / packaging and really focus on the product inside.
