Happy Monday morning internet friends! I hope this week treats you well, and all of your hopes and dreams come true. <— Including any and all wishes of marrying rich, and winning the lottery.
I intend to finish up all of the Wet n Wild product reviews this week, so we are going to start with another big poofter. Please keep in mind these are always my own opinions, so if these products are exactly what you are looking for, it’s all you honey. DO IT!
Ultimate Retractable Brow Pencil | Price: $6.29 CAD
Claims: Insta-worthy! Fill in and define your brows with our unique triangular pencil tip. It creates strokes small enough to look like your finest hairs and sharpens the edges of those brows with rub-resistant pigments. Brush and blend it all out with the pencil’s built-in spoolie. When you’re done, the tip retracts for quick-and-easy storage in your makeup bag.
The only positive I will give this product, is the spoolie. High five for a good quality spoolie.
But here in lies my real issue. WHY IS THIS TRIANGLE SO BIG? I find this near impossible to work with unless I want to look like a crazy sharpie eyebrow lady. Which works for some but not for me.
I found it very difficult to work with and no matter what I seemed to have to keep going back to fill in spots, it would lay product down and then pick it back up again. Some people really seem to like this triangle shape, and a bigger pencil in general but it is really not for me. My brow game normally takes about 3 mins, using this pencil upped it to 8, and at 4:30 in the morning, I don’t have 8 mins for my brows alone. It’s just not happening. I don’t like my makeup to feel like work, and this feels like WORK.
The shade range is also not great either, there are only four. I know, people coming at me like “How many hair colours are there Candice?” Well let me tell you there are darker hair colours than “Dark Brown” and lighter hair colours than “Taupe”.
All in all this product is definitly not for me, and it has made it’s way back to Rexall with it’s friend “Lash O Matic“
What’s your favourite brow product?
Yeah this is a pass for me too. I have to draw on the inner 1/4 of my brows because there’s practically NO brow hair in that area. So I need a micro pencil so get really precise. I do a combo of drawing the basic shape with my Dip Brow, filling in with Brow Wiz & setting with my powder from Billion Dollar Brows. I’ve tried the NYX microbrow and they’re nice but the shades pull too warm for me. I need neutral/cool tone for my brows.

I’m all about the dipbrow 100%, nothing else works like that in my opinion!

I’ve heard the pomade from Makeup Revolution is good. I got one in Taupe but it was WAY too light so I took it back. Once my Dipbrow is almost gone I’ll try another MR shade that’s a better match. But I don’t like it it’s going back too & I’ll just stick with Dipbrow.

Honestly for how long it lasted I’m not even worried about the price. The pencils don’t last in my opinion
