There is a time in one’s life when you just have to do it. You just have to go through your shit and see what really brings you joy and what you are lying about… I did the palette declutter, and although challenging was actually totally purifying of my mental state.
I also created a tracking sheet in my bujo for all the palette tracking to take place! Look how pretty (but DON’T judge my terrible writing/half assed calligraphy)
the experience was not as I expected, I talk a lot of shit (in my head) while others are doing declutters about not feeling bad or guilty about keeping things, or reasoning out why they are or aren’t going to give them away. It’s the worst guys, it’s like one of those true get real moments when you know you have too much shit and there are things in there you shouldn’t actually own, you don’t use, and you KNOW they are probably growing pond scum on them.
You can hear it in my voice. Seriously. I’m shooooook.

Watched the video as I got ready this morning. I was seriously impressed! I knew this was going to be a difficult one for you, but you got rid of so many more than I thought you would! Go you! Glad you are at peace with your declutter, and that the nervous breakdown I would have did not happen!

Girl, you did such a good job! You were cutting and slashing and slaying those palettes! It was a little hard to watch bc of personal reasons nobody cares to hear abt, but overall enjoyable! I liked how you reasoned out what you kept vs what you let go and even explained what was obvious trash. You know if 35B or Androgyny needs a good and loving home I am happy to provide one for a reasonable adoption fee lolol!
Also, I saw that you have the KVD full size Metal Matte palette! I’m so jazzed abt that bc I just got it from a friend who is pissed abt the anti-vax and has disowned all her old KVD palettes, but I’m having problems getting the shadow a to work for me. Any advice for a girl wanting to look fab as fuck? Please? Much love!

What is the issue you are having with metal matte? Is it patchy? what’s it’s major malfunction?!

Yep. It’s going on patchy as all get out. The darker the color the worse it is. I’ve tried it with different primers, setting the primers with powder, not setting the primers, tried adding a bit of translucent powder to help the blend move easier, but nothing is working out. It’s frustrating. The shades are beautiful, but they just won’t judge from where I put them on my eye. I’m tapping off my brush. I used all kinds of different brands and shapes of brushes. I’m at a loss. I’m sure it’s my inexperience. This is my 1st KVD palette.

Hmmmmm. Sometimes chemistry doesn’t work with stuff… maybe try taking a layer off the shadow to get the oils out that aren’t agreeing. Take a piece of tape and touch it to the shadows and just take off the first layer
